PTFE Powder

PTFE powder can be used for a myriad of applications on the bench where reducing friction is desired. Apply this very fine powder with a fine soft natural brush to cork, leather and other materials.

PTFE Powder

PTFE Powder is a low molecular weight polymer that will provide excellent lubricating and non-stick properties when used alone or as an additive to other materials. PTFE Powder will improve the surface slip properties, lubricity, and abrasion resistance of rubber, plastic, printing inks, and industrial coatings.

Technical Data:

Color and Appearance……………White PowderAverage Particle Size…………….10.0 microns (d50)Specific Gravity…………………….2.15g/ccMelting Point ………………………610-630ºF

Application Method:

1. Blending with Polymers Provides a low coefficient of friction, lubricity, slip characteristics and improved abrasion resistance. Can be used with polyacetal, polycarbonate, polyamide, polyphenylene sulfide, and phenolic resins with asbestos, polypropylene and other standard polymers.2. Blending with Rubber Provides slip properties, lubricity and abrasion resistance. Can be used with silicone rubber, urethane material and organic rubber compounds.3. Blending with Paints and Inks Provides improved slip properties and abrasion resistance. Can be used with epoxy and acrylic paint, printing inks, sealants and wax.4. Blending with Oils and Greases Improved lubricity and increased slip/stick properties. Increased viscosity.

PTFE Powders are used on:

Wire and Cable Insulation;Tapes;Hose;Tubing;Liners;Profiles;Diaphragms;Textile/fiber.
